Butterfly Garland Tutorial

Hello everyone! I've got another little tutorial for you all today. Here in Wisconsin we are finally getting a little taste of spring and the snow is starting to melt. I decided I needed a little spring project to help brighten my home so I cut some butterflies with my cricut. I got the butterflies from online to use with my Sure Cuts A Lot program. I cut the butterflies in 2 different sizes of 3 different styles out of some Basic Grey paper.

After I got all the butterflies cut I paired them up and adhered them together.

Next I punched 2 holes in each one so I could run the ribbon through. I didn't use double sided paper so I ended up putting a set of butterflies back to back as I ran my ribbon through.
Here's what it looks like all put together. (Sorry the photo isn't so great it was hard to find a spot to photograph it at night :) )You can dress it up some more with ribbon tied between each butterfly or you could add some buttons to it too. I haven't decided yet where I'm going to put my garland, I may add more to hang it from the fireplace mantle or across the window.
If you make some sort of garland I'd love to see what you've made. You could even try some other shapes like flowers or stars. Have fun with it!
